Spotlight on Life Gala

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW), including more than 260 of their closest friends, gathered in celebration of kidney health and organ transplantation for the 2025 Spotlight on Life Gala. This record-breaking event, held at The Delafield Hotel, raised more than $111,000 in support of this statewide organization.

Highlights from the evening were too numerous to mention! The emotional peak of the evening came as Michael Crowley shared his recent journey as an altruistic living kidney donor. Holding back tears, Crowley credited his decision to become a living donor as the impact of working alongside the kidney and transplant community over the past four years as CEO of National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.

Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and event committee who made this event and our ongoing work possible! We look forward to seeing you back at Spotlight on Life 2026 on March 19, 2026.

Your 2025 arrival photos will be added soon!

Thank you to our 2025 sponsors!

Abundant Documentary Film Screening

Join NKFW for the Wisconsin Premier of documentary film, ABUNDANT. This new film exploring living donation has been selling out screenings all over the country. Order your tickets early for this matinee screening at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025. It will be at the AMC Mayfair in Wauwatosa.

ABUNDANT is a documentary film that follows the unbelievable events that occurred when a cast of kidney donors came together to create a live staged storytelling show.

ABUNDANT enters the world of extreme altruism: non-directed kidney donation where people donate kidneys to complete strangers. Through touching personal stories and illuminating interviews with nationally-acclaimed experts, ABUNDANT explores how our culture struggles with abundance and what we can do to become more altruistic as a community.”

Kidney Adventures 2025

with Summer Celebration and Walk

Saturday, July 26, 2025

Brittingham Park (829 W Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53715)

You asked, and we listened. NKFW is bringing back a community walk in Madison as part of Kidney Adventures 2025. Start pulling your team together and save the date to meet us on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Brittingham Park Pavilion in Madison. Details are still forthcoming but here are some of the things you can expect:

Just like recent years, you are invited to join NKFW in an extra push to build awareness of transplant and kidney health this summer by sharing your own kidney adventures, forming fundraising teams, and sharing information about kidney disease with your network.

On Saturday, July 26, we will gather as a kidney community in Brittingham Park (829 W Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53715) to celebrate all of our kidney adventures and kick off the 2025-26 program year. It is a family-friendly affair with a convenient playground, light snacks, and a large shelter to relax in the shade. It is free to attend with donations encouraged. Awards will be given for the largest team, most funds raised, best theme outfits, and a few silly categories just for fun. New for 2025 will be a community walk departing from the pavilion and the award ceremony for the Transplant Poster Contest.
