It’s in your power to make healthy choices. Whether you are a pre-transplant or post-transplant patient, healthy living is important for your quality of life and for a successful transplant. In this program, the UW Health transplant team will offer guidance and resources to help you establish and achieve healthy living goals related to nutrition and exercise. Topics covered during the program will include:

  • Strategies for healthy meal and snack choices
  • Setting goals and making changes that are sustainable
  • Tips for increasing your daily activity and how to begin a routine
  • Exercise ideas based on your goals, activity level, and mobility
  • Suggestions on how and when to start exercise after transplant
  • The body’s connection between nutrition and exercise
  • A cooking demonstration of healthy choices by a UW transplant nutritionist, including a tasting at the end of the program
