World Kidney Day

World Kidney Day is a world-wide acknowledgement of the importance good kidney health plays in maintaining a good quality of life.

In the United States, 33% of adult Americans are at risk of developing kidney failure or kidney disease. Often there are no symptoms, but early detection, along with dietary and life-style changes, may slow the progression. Major contributors to kidney disease are high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.

Pause to Give Life Observance

A Wisconsin Observance for National Donate Life Month.

Every year, on the first Monday in April, Wisconsin residents are encouraged to pause at 10:08am.

This moment in time is a tribute to all donors recognizing that one donor can save eight lives. Please pause in silence for one minute and 13 seconds to recognize the nearly 113,000 patients waiting for a life-saving transplant.

If you post pictures, please tag the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.

You can show your support of donation by purchasing your own Donate Life flag at https://www.donationmerchandise.com/flags-4.
