The KEEP HEALTHY program is the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin’s most direct way of fighting kidney disease. The program’s main focus is helping to detect early signs of possible kidney problems, by organizing health screenings. A health screening includes several simple tests – a blood pressure check, a urine test, and a body mass index measurement. Results are shared by a physician or other healthcare professional along with discussion of a risk survey.
The walk-in screening is available during regular food pantry hours.
Anyone 21 years of age or older is welcome to participate.
The Blood Sugar Test, included in the screening, requires eating no food for 8 hours before the screening; however, take any medication as prescribed.
