Katrina Schuh, RN, BSN, CCTC is a registered nurse transplant coordinator with the UW Health abdominal transplant team, where she works closely with the liver transplant team and cares for patients following transplantation. Katrina spent several years as a traveling nurse, exploring and learning from people across the U.S., but found her favorite spot and put down roots in Madison. She assists in managing and coordinating patient care, and works to ensure each patient has a successful long-term outcome.
Katrina enjoys the strong connection that develops with transplant patients. “It is wonderful and very rewarding to see their lives improve after transplantation,” says Katrina. Busily preparing for her wedding in July, Katrina spends any remaining free time enjoying new adventures (like learning to dance!), and exploring new locations via a good power hike. “I think Spotlight on Life is a great way to support the NKFW while shining the light on the importance of organ, tissue and eye donation,” says Katrina. “And, I hope to inspire more people to try ballroom dancing!”
